" T h e r e g u l a t i o n s a l low on ly n e c e s s a r y p e r s o n n e l in t h e l a b o r a t o r y a n d call f o r the r e m o v a l of a l l e x p l o s i v e o r h i g h l y i n f l a m m a b l e m a t e r i a l s . A l s o inc luded a r e t h e r e p l a c e m e n t of all electr ical wir ing, a n d the r e m o v a l of o b s t r u c t i o n s in the lab, especial ly in the aisles which mus t be kep t c lear at all t imes . F i re m a r s h a l l s d e t e r m i n e d t ha t the cause of the e x p l o s i o n was a c h e m i c a l r e a c t i o n i n s i d e a r e f r i g e r a t o r in the lab, but the exac t chemica l s have no t yet been p i n p o i n t e d . D a l e n Keys, one of the g r a d u a t e s t u d e n t s in the lab w h e n the fire b r o k e o u t , d i scovered t h a t his losses f r o m the blaze were s o m e w h a t less t h a n initially expec t ed .
